Download
Download Overflow
Direct download, no App Store. macOS 26 Tahoe, Apple silicon only.
Installation
- Open the downloaded
Overflow-0.1.0-arm64.dmgfile. - Drag Overflow into your Applications folder.
- Open Overflow from Applications. Since it's downloaded outside the App Store, macOS may ask you to confirm you want to open it — go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway if prompted.
- Overflow appears as a small icon in your menu bar. No Dock icon, no window.
Permission setup
- On first launch, Overflow will ask for Accessibility access. Click Open System Settings, then enable Overflow in the list.
- It will then ask for Screen Recording access. Enable Overflow the same way.
- Quit and reopen Overflow after granting both — macOS doesn't always apply permission changes to an already-running app.
